Adding some color

At breakfast today I was sketching Sebi (who does not like it when I draw him or take his picture, but he sat still enough for me to finish) with his apple and cereal, Julia with her bread, and when they left, the table with the leftover baguette, the honey, the napkin holder, and my lucky coffee cup.
Doesn't everyone have a lucky coffee cup?

Beautiful pictures! And yes, everyone does have a favorite coffee cup, or at least they should. Mine is a pastel striped one from Starbucks. I culdn't live without it.

What do your kids think of the finished product? Do any of them have the same creativity as you do?

I really like the sketch of your son with only the apple colored. I'm very attracted to that sort of thing. Changing one thing can give art a completely different perspective.

Hi Daisy, and thank you!! (And I can't imagine what will happen when I break my favorite coffee mug! I got it at MacDonalds! (lol!)

Hi Rosie,
My kids are pretty blasé - they're used to me drawing all the time. Two of my three kids are artistic - but neither want to have a career in the arts (saw their struggling mother and decided to study hard in school, lol).
Both my parents were art teachers, so maybe it's in the genes somewhere!

Excellent sketches Sam. I used to draw and do watercolors and oils at one time but it's been a long, long time. Seeing your drawings was inspiring!
