Really Sappy Shows (we love them!)

My daughter and I are watching sappy shows and we love them. Ann of Green Gables was on for three Sundays in a row (the whole series) and my daughter and I sat and watched the whole thing. Today there is another sappy show about a widow and a cowboy, and of course, we are hanging on every word.

It's raining out. The sky is gray. There is nothing to do but watch sappy TV shows and drink green tea.

What are the sappy shows you love the best?

The Anne of Green Gables programme, is that the one with Megan Fewllowes in it? She plays Anne.

If it's the same one, I totally agree, I love that film! But I'm biased cuz Anne of Green Gables is one of my fave books ever!

I love the sappy shows too. Not as a steady diet but they're definitely necessary *g*

Anne of Green Gables is one of the better ones.

Yes - Megan Fellowes and Collen Dewerst (and I know I spelled that wrong, lol) Terrific actresses!

Hi Erin!
Yes, a steady diet migth be too sugary - but once in a while (here we get the sappy shows every Sundaty afternoon, lol) It's nice especially on a rainy day!

I just love the odd chick flick. Can't get too many in tho, cuz DH usually has the remote!

Can't say I watch sappy shows, but will admit I put on It's a Wonderful Life, or Far and Away when I want a cry ;o)

We're just a bunch of romantics, lol.
Chey - the Brady Bunch??, Yes that counts as sappy! LOL - I bet my daughter would love that show. I used to watch it as a kid.

I love Anne of Greene Gables! I especially love to read the book. Anne is so transparent, and her heart-on-her-sleeve dialogue just makes my heart bleed. I modeled a heroine after her once by studying Anne, and then giving my character that same effusive chatter.

I love to watch sappy movies and I have a tote full I can carry from room to room and keep close in case of fire. It contains Hope Floats, Pay It Forward, Bounce, Far & Away, Summersby, Phenomenon, While You Were Sleeping, Mrs. Winterborne, Winter People, Notting Hill, The Love Letter, The Magic of Ordinary Days, Love Comes Softly, Quigley Down Under, and of course Face Off and The Bone Collector. Wish I didn't have to work....

I love anything Audrey Hepburn *sigh* If I'm in need of a chick flick night/weekend I have a bunch of her movies that I watch and I love every second of it.

Another one that is silly and people shake their heads at me when I say I love it is Grease. *g* OOOOOH and The Princess Bride. (actually those aren't really sappy shows but they're ones that always make me smile)
