grrrrr Blogger!

I hate the new blogger account. Now I have to log in twice, for some reason, and most of the time I can't comment on anyone's board. Have been trying. Is very frustrating. Hate the new Blogger account.
OK - rant over.
I have fixed up my sites with Holiday Cheer - check them out here and here.
Lots of news and new books and contest fun, so don't miss out!
This weekend I took my daughter to 'Le Salon de Cheval' (the Horse Fair) here in Paris. There were Tons of people, tons of horses, and lots of things to buy. I resisted buynig halters, saddles, blankets...Everything. My daughter was devestated. I was smug. My husband amazed.
My daughter does not know her Secret Christmas Present. Ha ha. She will not be depressed for long. My husband wants to buy her a saddle all her own. So, I'm off to search for saddles.
Is there anything you wish for? Long for? Need desperately?
I had to think about that. Can't say I need anything desperately. My laptop is still running (OK - the i key sticks a bit, but who needs 'i's? And my car just passed inspection, and my clothes still fit, and my husband's cousin gave me some great make-up last month, so I'm all set!
I bought some books for my husband, (he loves to read mysteries) and backpacks for the twins for college. Cool backpacks from Japan.
Anyhow, I have to go find a saddle now!
Later!

Both of your websites look wonderfully festive, Sam! And the saddle sounds like a perfect gift for your daughter.

As far as things I wish for, long for or need desperately--honestly, the only thing that comes to mind is time. I never seem to have enough of that. ;-)

As a horse fanatic - I can vouch that a saddle will be a gift that she will remember her whole life. Although I have two horses I STILL wish for one for Christmas...after innumerable disappointing Christmases as a child...horseless...

Ugh. Totally hearing you on crappy new Blogger. I couldn't carry my links over (for some reason the html tags which worked perfectly fine on original blogger were insufficient for beta blogger) and I'm tired of constantly relogging in.

Can't think of anything I want desperately this year...aside from an agent and another publishing contract! :-)

The logging in everytime you closed the net is a bit of a nuisance, but else I have less problems with Beta than I had with the old Blogger. But maybe it's due to the fact I still stick to the classical way of coding my own template in HTML and stay away from those new widgets. They seem to be a messy bunch.

I switched to Beta last week. Posting links, adding page elements is much easier now that I don't have to decipher html to edit the template. Yup, I'm a drag-and-drop kinda guy :) Still managed to mess up a couple things- All seems good now though. Switching to a new Google account seemed to tax Google's capacity to respond :) but logging into the Beta Dashboard page seems to be working okay for the most part. One comment showed up as anonymous that shouldn't have- Heard that's been happening a lot. Hopefully they'll get the bugs worked out soon. Overall though, Beta's working for me.
Sam, I hope you and your family enjoy the holidays- All the best!
