(Lifted from December's blog) Okay, it's this quizie thingie is where I pick my favorite movies, and choose a quote from each one, and now you guys have to guess the movie from the quote and I'll write your name next to it when you guess it.
Have FUN!
1: -"Don't shoot! It's the dynamite! If you shoot it, it will get mad at us and blow us all up!"
2: -"There are all kinds of courage. It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends." (Harry Potter - Feyrhi)
3:"I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve." (Lord of the Rings - December)
4: "But why is the rum gone?" (Pirates of the Caribbean - CotBP)
5: "If either of you boys says "war" just once again, I'll go in the house and slam the door." (Gone with the Wind - December)

#2 is from the first Harry Potter movie *G* I so love that part and the way Longbottom became the house hero.
A couple others sound familar, but I'll have to think on them. I can hear the voices but can't remember where.
You're right!! I loved that quote too!!
3 is Bilbo Baggins in LOTR: Fellowship;
and 5 is Scarlett O'Hara in GWTW!
"But why is the rum gone?" - Captain Jack Sparrow PotC - CotBP
Why didn't you post something easy like "I always rely on the kindness of strangers..."
You guys are the best!!
Yay December - and Yes CotBP - that is Capt. Jack Sparrow, my favorite pirate, lol.
Wynn, I was thinking of that one! I Loved A Streetcar Named Desire.
And the first one, anyone?
I'll give you 2 clues:
It's an old film -
It's a Mel Brooks film.
:-)
Blazing Saddles?
Older!
VBG!!
My daughter and I watched it th eother night - me for the umpteenth time, she for the first - and she laughed and laughed, and replayed some of the scenes five or six times over.
Her favorite character was Ulla - the sext secretary.
"Goodapooday!"
My all-time-favorite movie line:
Leave the gun. Take the canoli.
Sam is that first one from "Blazing Saddles"? That movie has a thousand one liners.
Oh no wait, ignor that last guess. I know where it is from now. But I'm not saying 'cause I cheated and 'googled' it *G*
Oh, those are fun - ROFL at Doug - I loved that line: Leave the gun. Take the canoli. STILL ROFLMAO.
I love Doug's line too - going to dig up that film!
Do you give up???
