Just wanted to say thank you!

Thank you all for your comments, your e-mail messages, your phone calls and messages. Thank you for being such wonderful friends and cyber friends. I really do appreciate it!

I haven't had five minutes to myself lately (I got up at 5 am today, so I managed to sneak in an hour at the computer!) Between hospital visits (Hubby is progressing very well and driving the nurses batty - good sign), my 2 new jobs, and my son who came for a whirlwind 4 day visit and who I ended up seeing almost every day. (Also he missed his train, his plane, I had to drive to Paris to drop them off, they had to change their tickets and luckily only have to pay a small penalty!!) As my mother-in-law said, "Travel builds a young person's character." It also has given me several new wrinkles and gray hairs...

I can't say things will slow down any time soon. My daughter's German correspondant is coming for a week's visit in ten days, there is a ton of things to do in the garden...and I have to catch up on my writing, my blog, and on my friend's blogs!

Sam, I hope you get a moment for a breather and maybe a bubble bath. I fantasize about stuff like that when I'm super busy and under deadlines. It's a mini desert island getaway. A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do to get through stuff.

You seem to be doing great. I'm so happy for you all that your husband is doing well.

Glad to hear about your husband doing better. Hang in there. I hate such busy times but I just came off one.

That's so good to hear that things are on the mend. I can only imagine what a harrowing experience it must be to go through that. But you make it sound so light hearted.

I'd say just enjoy everyone getting better. And they say that Spring is supposed to begin before too long.

I am so glad to hear the hubby is on the mend. Although that operation is common nowdays, I hear it's quite a bear because of the big incision and such. Here's to a speedy recovery for him! I am so glad for all of you that things turned out so well.

Be sure to let us know how he progresses and such.

Yes! Thank you for the up-date on your husband.

That dog couldn't be named anything else, could he?

I agree with Rosie :) You need to take a moment (or an hour or whatever lol) for yourself. I'm so glad your husband is healing well :)

Hi Sam, I've been so busy myself I realize I haven't blogged in almost a month, nor have I checked others blogs. I'm very glad to hear your husband is recovering well.

I enjoyed your blog about the slush pile. I'm on the other side of the editing/publishing myself now too with my travel web site so I appreciated what you had to say.
